The former Zonnestraal sanatorium, located on the Hilversum heath, is a unique example of modernist architecture.

From 6 March 2020 to 17 January 2021, Museum Het Schip presents ‘Bruno Taut: Beyond the Fantasy’. In this inspiring exhibition and extensive theme-based program, the visitor is introduced to the wonderful and colorful world of this creative and influential architect, urban planner and ‘total artist’ who lived and worked in Germany, Japan and Turkey, and who had a special connection with the Netherlands.

From 2 October 2018 till 31 March 2019, Museum Het Schip houses the beautiful exhibition Gaudí and the Amsterdam School.
